Rebecca Marsh was appointed Chief Ombudsman in January 2018. She has an extensive career in complaint handling and ombudsman services. Prior to joining the Legal Ombudsman, Rebecca was Deputy Ombudsman and Executive Director of Operations and Investigations at the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman (PHSO). While at the PHSO, she led a significant change programme in the way the Ombudsman works, with a core focus on service improvement and effective delivery. Her career also includes 10 years as a Commissioner at the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC).
