HR Support Apprentice
We are looking for an apprentice who is keen to start a career in HR. This role will give you a rounded experience of a HR department. You will be involved with answering general HR queries, recruitment activity, learning and development, payroll, understanding policies and their application.
You will gain a recognised qualification (delivered by British Institute of Recruiters), work in a small, supportive and friendly team, be based in a city centre location and learn from an experienced team of HR professionals.
We will provide all the in-house training and support you need to carry out the role, and ensure you gain the knowledge of how a HR department works on a daily basis.
What will the role involve?
As the HR Support Apprentice you will be the central point of contact for all queries, these come through in a variety of formats, email, phone and face to face. Any potential issues will need to be escalated to the HR Advisors or HR Business Partner.
You will be asked to draft all HR correspondence in line with our standard templates, assist with recruitment activity including scheduling interviews and managing the online application system. As part of your role you will be asked to keep the HR people system up to date, maintain both electronic and paper personnel files, assist with payroll, provide basic HR advice in line with policies and highlight complex queries to the HR Advisors.
In addition you will support learning and development activities where needed.
