Amanda Charlton Ombudsman Amanda has over 20 years legal experience working in the legal profession both as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives before qualifying as a solicitor in 2003 (currently non-practising). Amanda’s first seven years in the legal profession were working in defence criminal litigation dealing with matters before both the Magistrates’ Court and Crown Court including appeal work. Amanda then transferred to civil litigation and has extensive experience in dealing with personal injury work, commercial disputes. Amanda lectures part time in Criminal Law with supported distance learning courses. Amanda has worked at the legal Ombudsman since 2010 and was appointed as Ombudsman in 2013.
