Today, the Legal Ombudsman has published a consultation document on its Corporate Strategy for 2020-2023. The full press release can be viewed here.
This marks the beginning of a new three-year cycle, and therefore a fresh look at where we are as an organisation and what we need to do to become a class-leading ombudsman service.
We have developed three brand new strategic objectives that will guide our work until March 2023:
- Improving the experience of our service for complainants and service providers while using our expertise to guide and add value to the complaint journey
- Increasing the transparency and impact of our casework to support greater access to justice
- Developing our service to ensure it is appropriate for the evolving legal sector
In the consultation document we have also included our high-level Business Plan and Budget for 2020/21, including our request for a budget increase of £2.4m.
We welcome all stakeholders to submit their feedback on strategy and business plan, to help us refine our aims and work programme for the years ahead.
