Update on Help to Buy ISAs

We’ve recently noticed a rise in enquiries on purchases involving Help to Buy ISAs. If you’re a lawyer you can familiarise yourself with what you need to do on these cases by visiting the government’s dedicated website for conveyancers. The site contains information for solicitors on how the scheme operates. It also includes steps you need to take to claim bonuses on behalf of clients.

The government has created the Help to Buy ISA scheme to help people save towards their first home. First time buyers can save up to £200 a month towards their first home with a Help to Buy: ISA and the government will top up those savings by 25%. The bonus is available for home purchases up to £450,000 in London and up to £250,000 outside London.
