Chief Ombudsman (interim)
Simon joined the Legal Ombudsman as an operations manager in our resolution centre; giving him a good understanding of how we operate. He was responsible for ensuring his teams provided excellent customer service and quality. While in this role Simon established and chaired our improvement priority group, looking at ways we could constantly improve our service and develop our staff. Simon also led on operational recruitment to ensure we selected the best staff to do the job. Prior to working for the Legal Ombudsman he was accountable for the strategic management of a busy emergency services department.
Simon brings to his new role, as Head of Claims Management Companies, a lot of experience and knowledge in operational performance management and project implementation, and has significant experience of business start up. He has been involved right from the beginning of the set up phase of this new jurisdiction and is passionate about ensuring the claims management side of the Legal Ombudsman is a success, bringing in new technologies and processes to make our work more efficient whilst maintaining excellent customer service. He is really proud to be involved in the growth of the Legal Ombudsman.
