Starting salary £33,175 per annum (potential to rise to £36,061 pa after 9 months and subject to performance)

We are currently looking for Ombudsmen, they play an important part in investigating higher complexity complaints, for making decisions on lower complexity complaints and coach and mentor Investigator colleagues.

What are we looking for?

It is essential that you are experienced in working in a customer service environment where you have successfully negotiated and engaged with people and resolved disputes effectively. The work is varied and you will need to be able to manage multiple priorities and peaks in demand, therefore being able to manage your workload and prioritise is vital.

We are looking for people that have the ability to communicate with people on all levels and tailor their methods to meet varying needs. Ombudsmen need to be able to assess and analyse complex information and make decisions based on evidence. A key part of the role is being able to offer support and coaching to Investigators and other colleagues and share knowledge with others.

You must be able to demonstrate experience of working in a customer service environment or another recognised complaints handling scheme.

Selection process

All candidates shortlisted from the application process will be invited to participate in a selection centre.

Selection centre:      Friday 2 March 2018 and Saturday 3 March 2018
